Best IB Biology Youtube
Channels & Playlists
If you are like me, a visual learner that is, then you are in the right place. Below, I have compiled some of the best biology youtube channels (both IB specific and in general) to not only save you time, but also to shine a light on some of the lesser known channels. I have divided the channels based on whether or not they are IB specific; however, they are in no particular order (in the future I might add ratings). Additionally, I have tried my best to link specific playlists, however not all channels have them :(

Quick Tip: in youtube, click the magnifying glass under the profile picture to search for specific topics!
IB Specific
Alex Lee
Extensive coverage for both HL and SL on the old syllabus, and is easy to follow.
Cheryl Hickman
Did HL and SL content for the old syllabus, and is easy to follow. Slightly dated information.
Mr. C’s IBDP Biology
Has content that is both for SL and HL, as well some IA help. Also Dated information.
Mr Exham Biology
Most videos are for the older syllabus, and content is broad/covers IB, A levels etc...
Elec2ric Learning's
Has the new and old syllabus. There are playlists for each. Extensive coverage and very easy to follow.
None Specific
Amoeba Sisters
We all know the Amoeba Sisters. The content is simply and easy to follow with nice animations.
Crash Course Biology
Another legendary channel. Has good, simple and easy to follow content. Recently updated their biology playlist.
SciShow
Hank Green ran channel that is extremely entertaining, however is not good for studying. Is excellent for keeping biology on your mind.
Shomu’s Biology
Does not cover all topics, and is better for specifc content e.g. calvin cycle. Has good details, but sometimes hard to follow.
Ibiology
Again, limited coverage of topics, but high amounts of detail in each video. Some videos are rather dated.
MIT OpenCourse
Has both new and old videos and covers a range of topics. Good detail, however sometimes hard to follow and long, uncut videos.
